partly because they're never prepared for it

like us, they hear the news and immediately enter crisis mode

international media houses prepare obituaries and broadcast packages for high-profile people: monarchs, politicians, religious leaders, etc., years in advance

i can tell you for a fact that the bbc already has broadcast material prepared for king charles, prince william, prince harry and other senior royals

they constantly update it and hold discussions around the protocols

when the unfortunate happens, they simply roll it out

that's why watchin' the bbc' coverage of queen elizabeth ii's death was so mesmerizin'

the depth, the history, the protocols, the rites; you could tell they had been preparin' for that moment for years

here, if our media houses tried to prepare advance broadcast material for our leaders and those leaders got wind of it, they'd probably have the stations shut down
