Sales were at 0.65Ξ yesterday, but overnight the @coolcats floor got swept and is now up to 1.16Ξ.

1⃣ ApeCoin DAO sweeping the floor
Remember how @machibigbrother put together an AIP back in November 2023 to sweep the BAYC floor with @apecoin? (It passed.)

Well, its counterpart from @animocabrands (AIP-297) — spearheaded by @ysiu & @tylerdurden88 — also passed.

Loaded with 750,000 $APE in grant money, last week they purchased a handful of BAKC, another handful of Mocaverse and — notably — 15 Cool Cats.

When a collection has few listings to begin with, a sweep like this thins the floor and primes it for a price-moving sweep.

2⃣ Informative 🧵 from @nf_suzanne

Over the weekend, Suzanne put out an extremely informative 🧵 on Cool Cats, outlining the project's history, previous aims at creating a story-telling game (Cooltopia) & realignment with Shadow Wolves & SideKX, as well as its appearance at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The 17-tweet 🧵 was very well-written and blew up (deservedly so) — gaining interest from the Punks community in particular, one which Suzanne is active in and has a relatively large reach in outside of Cool Cats.

She received a lot of DMs after posting, expressing their interest in picking up Cool Cats of their own, leading to...

3⃣ @PabloPunkasso loads up big time
The @nftwhalealert bot doesn't show too many Cool Cats sweeps like this one — the purchase of 47 Cool Cats for close to 39Ξ.

It's not a huge amount of money by any means, but what it did was move the floor by a huge percentage, bringing attention back onto the collection and showing that the public still has interest in both this brand and IP.

To quote @beaniemaxi: "It's a prime example of a salvageable collection."

Okay okay okay you guys wanted alpha on the project, here it is. A quick update on Cool Cats and what's next:

1⃣ Trio of Upcoming Games

3 @coolcats-branded games are slated to drop this year: a browser-based 2D endless runner game with @iCandyInteract (also responsible for building @OthersideMeta's Legends of the Mara with @yugalabs), a match-3 puzzle game with @SyncStudio_ powered by @play_ember and also an extremely fun & addictive multiplayer arcade game with @nWayGames.

One thing to keep an eye on is the Cool Cats Avatar System, which allows you to change your Cool Cats/Shadow Wolves NFT PFP into full-body mode or sticker mode (head only). I hear the Avatar System will be integrated into the games, which means NFT holders will be able to play as their characters.

Speaking of which...

2⃣ Avatar System Upgrades

Cool Cats' "Proof of Work" blog on their website details constant upgrades to the Avatar System, which is a hub of sorts for all things Cool Cats.

New updates include Wallet Linking, support for Scholars (unique 1/1 Shadow Wolves), legendary 1/1 items airdropped to amazing community members (hi @dirtybuns) and integration with Twitter so you can update your PFP at the push of a button... and not lose your blue check either.

3⃣ Animation & Comic-Con Appearance

Cool Cats released the first two episodes of its animation "The Milk Chug" late last year (if you haven't watched it yet, they're fantastic).

More episodes are coming, as is Cool Cats' second straight year at San Diego Comic-Con (July 25-28). These activations help connect the brand with an ideal target audience and will hopefully provide a larger user base to build off going into the future.

I'm encouraged with the direction in which Cool Cats is building, but the latest floor sweeps are definitely not because of some sort of "insider information" whatsoever; just genuine collectors starting to become more invested in the brand.

I love @cloncast's creations and the team has been tirelessly building over the past few years, even if there have been a few missteps along the way.

Buy if you want to, don't buy if you don't want to; Cool Cats will be fine either way. But if you're interested in coming along for the ride, don't forget to yell:
