When simulation becomes the norm, it weakens the human capacity for discernment. As a result, our social bonds close in upon themselves, forming self-referential circuits that no longer expose us to reality. We thus come to live within bubbles, impermeable to one another. Feeling threatened by anyone who is different, we grow unaccustomed to encounter and dialogue. In this way, polarization, conflict, fear and violence spread. What is at stake is not merely the risk of error, but a transformation in our very relationship with truth.
Request for Commentary: Has anyone done a longitudinal study on the QoL impact that de-industrialization has had on American households?

Posts like this one^ will often point out that software growth vs automotive growth is much better for our economy if GDP is higher overall, but what is happening at the median? If GDP growth occurs but the wealth and wage growth is only a small subset, is that actually better than lower GDP growth but spread among a large portion of the population?
Any good articles/books written on this topic?
✈️👎 @AmericanAir damaged my suitcase, but won’t reimburse me because my flight landed after midnight—so their system says I “missed” the 24-hour claim window.
Apparently I need a time machine to follow their rules.
@Delta would you deny a claim like this?
All over $200. Do better.
I’m working on a marketing system and I’m trying to get more reps with it.
Can I help you? It would involve me interviewing 5 of your customers for free and then sharing with you my push/pull/anxiety/habit jobs-to-be-done analysis.
Goal of it is to help you know both “what” to say and “where” to say it.
DM me I f you’re interested.
Get more specific on the problem.
People always think they KNOW the problem they’re solving, but if you don’t know where to find your customers, then you actually don’t understand their problem that well (because the context of their problem will make it clear where to find them)
@appdayx @aasthaanand97 How specific are you on the problem you’re solving? (The more specific you are, the easier it becomes to find your customers, because you don’t just know the problem they have, you know what exactly pushes them to need your solution)
Have you ever spent hours with someone and realized they didn’t ask you a single question about yourself?
Is this weird or way more common than I think?
@NULLpointerXL This definitely depends on your role
You want your sales/fundraiser to be taking meetings, not procrastinating them with “work that needs to be done first”
@Bree_B_ Same for me.
“Wait… we didn’t have a Bible for like 300 years after Jesus walked the earth?“
It’s crazy the level of ignorance many of us grow up with when we’re raised in the Protestant church
Rich people renting out poorer women's bodies so they don't have to birth their own babies is creepy and it's weird to me that so many don't see how gross and dystopian this practice is https://t.co/YOR8HSktuu
