@fitzfromdublin I remember when Irish Twitter was a thing. *stares misty eyed into the middle distance*.
Seriously though, it was a lifesaver during those bloody lockdowns. It's been a bummer to see Musk tear it down for bluetick rubbish and ragebait.
The Irish government is letting spending go wild because they literally have no other idea.
The opposition’s big idea is that the govt isn’t spending enough.
The IMF are coming back, aren’t they?
I'm adjusting my usual summer of action movies formula for an Abel Ferra classic. Christopher Walken and Lawrence Fishbourne head up the best cast #Bootlegfriday has ever seen in "King of New York".

@fitzfromdublin Watched the 80's TV mini-series on YouTube during the lockdowns. It had a wonderful lead performance from Duvall, a fine ensemble plus an impossibly beautiful Diane Lane. And some Irish immigrants who run afoul of river snakes. Maybe it was a reference to St. Patrick?
Many things mark the start of an Irish summer. Raid, wind and the fact that it can be simultaneously too hot and too cold. But it's also the return of #Bootlegfriday's summer of action movies. Details to follow on Wednesday.
@Darren_Mooney I enjoyed it but it did get annoying that it couldn't go one minute without making an ironic deflating joke. It didn't reach MCU levels but it did undermine it's impact a bit.
@TheEricGoldman I wouldn't be optimistic about the box-office prospects of Amazon forthcoming rehash of Highlander. The original is a fun movie but it's strictly a cult movie with a surprising amount of crap sequels and spin-offs.
Well the weather was a big bag of shite today. But a lovely Wagyu beef burger with fired onions, melted cheese and Ballymaloe relish was a fine coping mechanism. Summer is a state of mind. In the the stomach anyway.
@1rorycowan The October attacks were appalling. But I have zero interest in bashing Ireland on the altar of Zionism. Which is fundamentally a foreign nationalism. Especially since the British right and Unionism are using Israel as a pretext for sneering malice and Paddybashing.
