@chhendon@ColonnaCoffee Dang! Wasteful is probably a better description than inefficient, then. Grinding those boulders finer, then, is more sensible and will increase "evenness"? Then we can limit unpleasant flavours by controlling brew time?
@chhendon@ColonnaCoffee So we’re under-extracting anywhere in a boulder that is deeper than 10um, relative to fines and surface area? So a 400um boulder would have 360um of inner-particle under-extracted, relatively speaking? I.e. 90% inefficiency for 400um particles?
