My opinion is that the city should not evict people living in a tent because if winter
comes and they don't have a home or can't go to a shelter because it is full of people,
they have to live on the street and make another tent, and the cycle will repeat. #OJENROEJSP22
Homeless ppl deserve to have somewhere to live.I don’t think they should evict ppl living in tent encampments without giving them a different place to stay. In my opinion building more shelters is the way to go and if that’s not possible, let them live
in their tents #OJENROEJSP22

Indigenous languages matter - and must be protected. https://t.co/06C4Y8AWWz #WeAreIndigenous

Therefore, I believe cities should only be allowed to evict homeless people living in
tent encampments if they are partaking in illegal activities. pt 6 #OJENROEJSP22
pressuring homeless people to take a test in order to
stay in a location where they feel safe and secure. However, this test does not guarantee that whoever takes the test will not be evicted. pt 5 #OJENROEJSP22
Even more importantly, the bylaw enforcement protocol is discriminatory against the homeless, as it only gives them the option of taking the VI-SPDAT test or being removed with in fourteen days pt 4 #OJENROEJSP22
Furthermore, by evicting homeless people, one is taking away the right of
equal protection and placing them in an unknown environment with no protection. pt3 #OJENROEJSP22
and everyone has the right to equal protection. By evicting homeless people from tent encampments, one is denying them the right of
security of persons and liberty, no longer giving them the liberty to live in a certain
location. pt 2 #OJENROEJSP22
Cities should not be able to evict people living in tent encampments, unless they are
partaking in illegal activities. According to section 7 and 15 of the Charter of Rights
and freedoms, everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of persons; #OJENROEJSP22
There are reports and witnesses who see how all this is true in the lives of the
homeless. They share their stories when asking for help and some people interview
them to show society the reality of how they are treated. pt 3 #OJENROEJSP22
