I am excited that @CoachLavery is joining me at Houston Christian University as our Associate Head Coach.

This will be Coach Lavery’s 10th year and third college working alongside me. All three programs we took over have been re-builds. It’s what we do as we embrace the transformation process.

Officials stopped asking Coach Lavery to sit down during games long ago because they know he runs our defense, match-up’s, and inbound sets.

Even more, Coach Lavery has had his hand in all aspects of our programs at Rock Valley College and Emporia State including academics, compliance, recruiting, scouting, player development, operations and more. This will continue at Houston Christian as he works every day to advance the lives of our student-athletes.

From JUCO to D2 to D1, Coach Lavery has earned everything by doing the little things daily. Alexys and I are proud to welcome Evan and Kendra to Houston as we keep this train moving! #DawgsUp
