완전 무대를 즐기고 있다는게 느껴졌고 고음파트 “Reset”이 점점 고조되는데 키를 낮췄지만 그래도 어려웠음
노래제목이 지금 후명호의 심경을 보여주는것 같았는데 모든것을 ‘Reset’하고 자신을 비우고 가수의 무대에서 배우로서 성과 모두 내려놓고 순수하게 무대를 즐기는 가수의 의미로 느껴졌다함

확실히 컨디션 많이 괜찮아졌고 무대매너도 더 안정적, 스탠드에서 핸드마이크 바뀔 때도 더 자연스러워짐 이번 선곡이 엄청 어려운데 완벽하게 소화했고 특히 고음이 정말 놀라울 정도로 훌륭해서 흠잡을데가 없었다함 전체적으로 오늘 무대들 중 테크닉적 완성도가 높은 편!

음, 우선 'Simon'이라는 곡이 여러분께 이렇게 많은 사랑과 인정을 받게 되어서 정말 기뻐요. 그런데 사실, 제 내면의 변화가 더 크게 일어난 건 이 곡의 마지막 한 소절을 다 부르고 난 그 순간이었어요. 그때 제 마음이 가장 크게 요동쳤죠.

왜냐하면 저는 이 곡을 저 자신에 대한 일종의 시험, 혹은 가수가 될 수 있을지 없을지를 가늠하는 한 번의 시험으로 여겼거든요. 그래서 이 곡을 정말 진지하게 대했고, 무대 또한 무척 존중하는 마음으로 임했어요.

다 부르고 난 후에, 제 내면에 일어난 더 큰 변화는 ’응어리가 풀렸다’는 느낌이었어요. 그동안의 노력이 헛되지 않았다는 생각이 들었죠.

Q: “How did you feel about the stage today?”

Hmh: “The moment I finished singing, it felt like all the weight I had been carrying just fell away. From the very beginning, I had been fighting for the chance to come on this show. And from that point to finally stepping onto the stage, the whole process took about two months. During those two months, the pressure kept building day after day. By the time I was about to go on stage, it felt like it had accumulated to the point where it was about to burst.

But the moment I stepped onto that stage today, I was genuinely enjoying the music. I was enjoying the connection and interaction with the audience. And out of the many times I sang the song, Simon, this was the one where I was the MOST immersed. So I truly want to thank the Singer 2026 stage for giving me an opportunity like this.”

“My feelings were actually pretty complicated. I held everything in and tried to calm myself down. The moment they called my name was completely unexpected. I genuinely didn’t see it coming. I’d already prepared myself mentally to be standing on that stage, facing a situation where it comes down to 6-pick-3.

But honestly, at that moment, I wasn’t nervous at all. Because by the time I finished singing on that stage, I had already made peace with it. The reason is that after performing so many times, this was the first time I truly felt it was so easy to immerse myself in the music and sincerely connect with everyone through it. For me, that alone has already become one of the most precious experiences of my life.”

He gives staff a hug, his makeup artist makes some last minute touchups, and his vocal coach assures him, “There aren’t any problems, it’s great,” but repeats it three times because he can’t hear with the earpiece in haha. After giving her last instructions, Hou Minghao sits down, as if he’s “getting into character.”

Eyes closed, undisturbed by the loud live stage feedback, you hear him running through the lyrics of “Simon.” When the previous performer finished his last line, he belted out some notes like relieving pressure. His music partner told him, “You can do it, relax. You definitely can do it! You can do it.” To which he responds, “I’m alright, I’m feeling a peaceful craziness right now.”

Staff loosens his shoulders, hands him the official stage mic, and tidies his outfit one last time. “Jiayou~ jiayou~ JIAYOU!” One last round of fist bumps. Singer Hou Minghao is charged and ready to go 🔋🎤
