Westside Throws kicked off summer training this week with technique work, burgers, water balloons, and ice cream sandwiches.

We’ll be back at it every Tuesday and Wednesday in June at 6:00 PM. Come get better, compete, and have some fun with us!

In the Class A Boys Shot Put, Owen James placed 5th with a throw of 53' 9.5", while Jacob Obermeyer finished 12th at 51' 0.75". In the Class A Boys Discus, Kir Diew threw 141' 7" and Jacob Obermeyer added a throw of 139' 10".

Great 400 race at the Nebraska State Meet. Finished 2nd against great competition, but came away with a new PR, broke the previous state meet record, and moved to #7 all-time in Nebraska.

47.37 — #88 in the nation and #7 among sophomores. Back to work.

Great day for Westside Throws at districts! Outside of our state qualifiers, Keaton Kudym hit a PR of 46' in shot put, while Kenley Wang threw a season-best 94'5" in discus.
