Turning 65 and FINALLY getting Social Security just to watch $203 a month get yanked right back out for Medicare Part B premiums?!?

This is what seniors worked their whole lives for?

Paid in for decades through FICA taxes, now getting nickel-and-dimed on the way out.

Washington has turned our retirement into a bureaucratic trap. This is bullshit.

I get my Social Security deposit on the 4th Wednesday of every month. I checked my account this morning and since I turn 65 this month, they deducted $203 for Medicare.

So my question is this:

Why is the government charging me for something that I already spent my whole adult life paying for?

@LLannote @1Nicdar @am3rica1st43v3r Payroll taxes (aka FICA) *are* the SS and Medicare taxes and you do not receive a tax deduction for them. You pay regular income tax on every dollar that is taken out of your paycheck for FICA. The money has been taxed. Then when you receive SS, they tax it again.
