HL can’t dissociate himself from his powers and would take more time than this for him to accept that’s it’s all over. He’d definitely be in denial then a fit of rage then a depressive state which would be hilarious but sad

Realistically he probably goes through a cycle of denial anger and depression (Screaming “ITS NOT FIAR” to himself or just ugly crying). Starr is totally able of showcasing that too but they didn’t give him that chance

If he plead and bargained with butcher it would have aligned much more with his character rather than immediately begging for his life. HL going through the motions of grief would’ve been better cinematically.
