In preparation for the Hurlbut-Dunham House restoration work to start, the Office of State Archaeology, Connecticut and the Friends of the Office of State Archaeology stopped by to check the area around where our new ADA accessible ramp will go.

We learned that the house was built on 18th century fill – take a look at some of what was found during the test dig. We look forward to sharing more of what was found in the near future.
