She was diagnosed with an extreme case of hydrocephalus, a condition where fluid builds up inside the skull.

As Graziely grew, her head kept growing too. The condition left her unable to walk, speak or see. She needs help with every part of daily life.

Her mother, Adalgisa, refused to give up. For more than three decades, she has devoted her life to Graziely, feeding her, bathing her and changing her diapers.

Against every medical prediction, Graziely turned 33 this year.
