@kordeiscarthen Likeee. Also this happened during a challenge and she very clearly isn’t interested in Corbin at all so I truly don’t think it was that deep. Like let the girls have funnnn 😭
@toopvolato the issue last szn tho is they weren’t locked in but they also didn’t explore with each other either. Everyone was just waiting around for bombshells to come in, flirt a bit, get curved, go back to their og couple so they don’t dumped, then wait for the next bombshell 😭
@MIK3MCDANIEL Tbf everyone agreed they wouldn’t work out, but she’s the only one in the edit that implies it’s bc Melanie’s the problem. Now she may be right, but it is a lil spicy to say. I’m not mad at it tho, sometimes you just don’t fw someone it is what it is 😭
Not to sound conservative, but these people kiss a little TOO easily like damn! Kissing used to mean something, they begging for a kiss after one (1) dry conversation 😭😭#loveislandusa
@love4trxs@temilolu_wah he quite literally said “I don’t like all that” in reference to thicker bodies 😭. So it was actually “I prefer pancakes, I don’t like waffles” and ppl are just saying that’s valid but he coulda left out the “I don’t like waffles” part
@tttodorock@temilolu_wah to some people it is that deep 🤷🏾♂️. And again mind you, mostly no one is trynna like cancel him or call him problematic. Just noting the way he expressed something wasn’t the best due to the very real systems and norms at play outside of the villa
@barbeynts@temilolu_wah iirc he said “I don’t like”, which isn’t “I hate”, but it also isn’t “I prefer”. And the issue isn’t him having that preference, it’s just how he verbalized it can come across a certain way bc of how racialized that preference can be and how scrutinized thicker women already are
@ningsloverswan@temilolu_wah the reason people didn’t like it is bc there is a very real (and racialized) beauty standard that is highly critical of those body types so it’s just one of those things that understandbly rubs people the wrong way when it’s verbalized
@prxxna Trinity laid it out. Mel did too much, but the way Bea tried to address it felt like she was trying to check her and given they don’t have that rship, Mel took it as disrespect and got defensive. Bea wasn’t wrong, but Mel’s (emotional) response was also understandable
@prxxna like friendship island is lowkey what kept people like Jana, Liv, and Olandria in the villa for as long as they did. Friendship island can go wrong tho, ie when they saved Huda twice 😭
@allisonargented this is so true, but I also think a lot of people’s conception of “lived in” starts and ends with just is their home messy, which I get but also a space can be clean and organized and still feel lived in, and I think that’s where production design really becomes an art
@AQUAKTTY@arakkosuperstar As much as I agree Mel did too much, I also think the way Bea talked about it came across like she was trynna check her which, valid or not, still also felt like a lot in the moment so I get why Mel got defensive. Like idk I kinda see both sides, word to Trinity 😭
@playboixcarson no cause Bea was doing a lot I won’t lie, there was a muuuch better way to discuss that and tbh I don’t even think it was anything that deep that it needed to be addressed so dramatically
And what’s really irritating me already about this season is that Sean’s been saying he’s interested in Trinity and Aniya and they’ve both expressed interest in him, yet NO ONE has pulled anyone for a chat… what are y’all waiting for?? #loveislandusa
