William Lawrence

Organizer, Coalition-Builder & Democratic Nominee in #MI07. YES to Good Housing and Healthcare for All. NO to Billionaires Tax Breaks and Endless Wars.

[William Lawrence @WeWillMi]

Mid-Michigan, we did this together.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Elon Musk spent hundreds of thousands to defeat me. But he couldn’t buy this election.

We are putting a stop to decades of elite impunity and building a movement that will fight for working people.

[William Lawrence @WeWillMi]

The American people delivered a striking rebuke of the Trump agenda and a mandate for change.

[William Lawrence @WeWillMi]

Mid-Michigan: last night, we made history.

We built an unprecedented movement here in Mid-Michigan, powered by thousands of volunteers. We stood together to say no to war and data centers, and yes to good housing and healthcare.

I’m proud to be your next Congressman from Michigan’s 7th district.

[More Perfect Union @MorePerfectUS]

BREAKING: Will Lawrence has flipped a Michigan House seat, winning out against the most outside spending that any candidate in the country had to face.

He campaigned hard on fighting data centers, taking on billionaires, and making life more affordable for the working class.

[William Lawrence @WeWillMi]

Thank you to Tom Barrett for his service to our country in the armed forces and elected office. I was glad to receive Tom's gracious call last night.

I look forward to working with him during the transition to serve everyone in Mid-Michigan, regardless of party.

[Tom Barrett @tombarrettmi7]

I called William Lawrence last night after 2 a.m. to offer my concession and congratulations. I’m disappointed in the outcome but I’m proud of my team and the campaign we ran. In the worst year for Republicans in decades, and after the most spending against me of any Republican member of Congress in the nation, we came closer than any competitive district in the country.

I deeply appreciate the trust the voters placed in me to be their voice in Congress. There is not a single day that I have taken it for granted. I had the best campaign team and the best congressional staff a member could ever ask for or expect.

I’m proud to have voted against war, to secure our border, to support law enforcement and public safety, and to cut taxes for working families.

Thank you to everyone who supported me and stood with me in this fight to save our country. While this is a tough setback I refuse to give up on America.

Mid-Michigan: THANK YOU.
