Over the last few months as @wexfordreader in @wexlibraries I set up book & creative writing clubs for children with dyslexia. This evening at the book club in Enniscorthy Library I facilitated a Christmas themed cartoon storytelling workshop. We had so much fun!!

If you want kids to love reading, show them YOU love reading! Talk about books, share books & enjoy books with them – not as something good for them, like vegetables, but as fun! I've seen it work so many times. Just share your love of books, and #literacy will follow.

October is Children’s Book Festival month. I have been invited to travel around Ireland promoting reading and books along with many more fabulous authors and illustrators. It started off this morning with a LEGO storytelling workshop in Gorey Library! @wexlibraries
I am so proud of the book clubs for children with dyslexia in @wexlibraries one parent remarked “A light has been lit. My child has discovered that they love reading for the first time.” #righttoread
