Yesterday, I defended my doctoral thesis at the University of Sussex. 3 years of hard work, which included parenting a young child , getting 4 publications out, winning the Adam Weiler research impact award and winning a WT Active Ingredients Research Grant.
@wezimhango08, supervised by Darya Gaysina, has won the Adam Weiler PGR Impact Award in the category "Social Sciences" for her work on effective mental health interventions for pregnant adolescents in low- and middle-income countries
@MamaTapoka I’ve done this before for my classes, to minimise guessing. If you don’t know the answer just leave it blank, that will be a 0. If you attempt and get it wrong -0.5. Well, people studied and performed quite well 😅. Ndinasiya koma.
Great to see @PattieGonsalves & @wezimhango08 talk about their research that has stemmed from @wellcometrust's Active Ingredients commission at the GMH conference.

@Anna_Powell_PGR@LjmuPsychPGRs@LJMUPsychology Also enjoyed Alev's presentation on road rage and substance use, James's on inpatient support for pregnant and postpartum women and their children during alcohol treatment, and @wezimhango08's characterising issues related to perinatal treatment for adolescents in Malawi
@Alakesh_Phy@PhDVoice The fact that you’re questioning whether it’s normal or not makes it a bit problematic. How do you personally feel about it? Are you okay with it? Do you feel suffocated? If you don’t mind it, I’d consider it normal.
Did I miss the third round of the supplementary polio vaccine for under fives? I don’t remember seeing any communication about the immunisation campaign this month
Moms who had to go study in another country and left your toddler behind with your spouse or family member, what was your experience? What made it easier or harder? @Momademia@PhDVoice
