Really nice absorption spectra of the carotenoids and chlorophylls; 2 peaks for the latter and a nice peak at about 450nm for carotene.

Xanthophyll fail; should be in middle cuvete but no colour; backed up by lack of banding on TLC.

At the business end of the visible spectra of these samples.First cuvette are carotenoids, third one chlorophylls. Eluted from column.

Limited success with TLC of pigment fractions from column. Very faint carotene in lane 2 but no xanthophyll in 3 and lots of chlorophylls.

First attempt at column chromatography; alumina packed column to separate plant pigments (nicely visible). Little column worked well.
