Conflict and hunger go hand in hand.
We cannot address food security without addressing the root causes of conflict.
And we cannot build peace when millions are hungry. #UNGA81#UNGA

As conflict intensifies on Yemen’s west coast, hundreds of thousands of families are on the move. At the same time, even a basic food basket is becoming harder to access and afford.
Here’s what you need to know about the deepening hunger crisis:
Hunger is not just a humanitarian issue. It is a threat to stability, prosperity, and peace.
If we want a more peaceful and prosperous world, food security must be part of the solution.
No nation can thrive if its people are hungry. #UNGA
The journey was exhausting & difficult. The distance was long, and there was no transport available,” says Mohammed, a displaced father in #Yemen.
At Al-Firdous Camp in Aden, WFP provides emergency food assistance to around 400 displaced people, including Mohammed and his family.
🆘 #Yemen: WFP is scaling up its emergency response, so far reaching over 50,000 newly displaced people in Aden.
More support is urgently needed as fighting forces thousands of families from their homes.
📣The warning signs are impossible to ignore.
Hunger is deepening while lifesaving assistance is being pushed to a breaking point.
At #UNGA, leaders must act: end conflict, protect humanitarian access and urgently fund humanitarian assistance. Millions of lives depend on it.
No single organization can meet today's humanitarian challenges alone.
Through the Integrated Supply Chain Network and UN System Services Hub, UN agencies are increasingly planning and delivering supply chains together, reaching more people, faster and more effectively.
That's what practical UN80 reform looks like in action. #UNGA

🚨 Conflict is the main driver of hunger in most of the world’s food crises today.
WFP works to break this cycle - delivering food assistance to save lives in times of crisis and sow the seeds of peace for the future.
📣 Without #peace we will never end hunger.
Hunger and starvation should never be used as a tool of war.
We must protect civilians, ensure aid reaches those who need it, and prevent food systems from becoming casualties of conflict. #UNGA81#UNGA
As #UNGA81 begins, WFP calls on leaders, governments, and businesses to protect food security.
➡️ Advance political solutions to end conflict.
➡️ Step up funding for life-saving aid.
➡️ Mobilize private sector investment, technology, and expertise.
➡️ Invest in early action before crises escalate.
Conflict and hunger go hand in hand.
