CONTAINERS

Here one word acts as a container for another word, giving rise to the final answer. Common container indicators are:
About, around, surround, inside, outside etc.
The semantics of the clue indicate the outer and inner words, such as "A contains B" or "C inside D"

Every clue has three fundamental parts, the definition (which is on either end of the clue), the indicator (to hint towards the type of word play involved) and the fodder for said word play.

In these puzzles, Tom says something and how he says it is a pun on what he says.

For example:
"I like solving such puzzles", said Tom SWIFTLY.

The answer here is swiftly as "these puzzles" refer to the Tom Swifties itself.

The question is in the form of a story with some words blanked out, and their enum specified next to them. The (n+1) letter word will be an anagram of all the letters in the (n) letter word and an additional letter.
