Contrary to popular belief, the market is not dictated solely by #TottenhamHotspur. If you know the players you want (Savinho, Gakpo) why would you sign others instead just to get bodies in the door before opening game? The sensible thing is to do all you can with the market elements you can control to get the ones you want right until the end.
