Just sold 30% of my physical silver holdings (bought at an average of $16). Dealer was telling me all about how industry is driving this run and it's going to keep going up, plus they had lines of people out the door waiting to buy this morning...
I feel even more comfortable with my decision to sell now. That's exactly the kind of sentiment we expect near the top of a massive blow off. Not saying it can't go higher, but I will continue scaling out the higher it goes.
i realize that it's been said many times already, but i simply cannot help myself:
if you supported the grossly unconstitutional lockdowns, mandatory face muzzlings, vaccine passports for fugazi pharmaceuticals, and the utter disregard for personal liberty and rights used to trample american lives and livelihoods on a scale never before seen in these united states and are out bleating about "no kings,"
here:
It's not going to be easy no matter what. None of this is financial advice, just my thoughts in how I will proceed. First step: sell as much as possible to cash over next month or two as we push higher. Consider buying inverse ETFs or put options as well, as more evidence of a lasting top shows up. When I've got cash on hand, riding out the initial declines will be easier. As it progresses over the course of the next decade(s) we are likely to see deflation coupled with higher interest rates - an incredibly difficult situation to generate income and growth from. Short term bonds could possibly be an option for generating yield (long term bonds will be a no no since bond prices will decline as rates go up), as could high yield savings accounts, and dividend stocks from solid companies with cash on hand and low debt (after the initial crashes). Timed correctly, rental property or REITs may be a good buy - if bought after property values crash significantly during a liquidity crisis. Real estate likely will not increase much in value after a crash because of the deflation, however rising interest rates could make buying a home unattainable for many people forcing more people to rent. Gold and Silver potentially will be good, after an initial big drop, if they enter next stage of their macro bull markets but chart will have to tell me to enter first - traditionally you wouldn't think of no-yield metals as a good buy during deflation + rising interest rates but I think they may defy that traditional thinking. Taking a more active role in portfolio management and being flexible to changing conditions to take advantage of bear market rallies will be helpful as well. Those are my current thoughts on plans, but bear markets are super unpredictable so may need to course correct multiple times as we see how it progresses.
I hate to ruin the party, but the stock market appears to be tap-dancing on the edge of its final high note for the next couple of decades. The charts suggest weโre on the cusp of a peak that wonโt be eclipsed for 10 to 20 yearsโbold claim, yes, but if youโre saving for retirement or expecting your portfolio to deliver the goods well into the future, it might be time to consider an exit strategy. Meanwhile, letโs not point fingers at one politician or another; this is simply how the marketโs grand cycle waltzes along. Japan learned it the hard way in 1989, and the U.S. could be next in line for its own version of the lost decade. Of course, this is not financial adviceโmerely an observation I feel compelled to shareโso what you do with this information is entirely your call.

I'd rather be the biggest degenerate in the world and make (and subsequently lose) millions trading crypto than be the most perfect human being and make a steady $50k a year.
You?
not sure who still needs to hear this, but all failing regimes lie about data. it's so ubiquitous and predictable that it's a near foolproof heuristic for spotting a failing regime.
test scores
temperature data
crime rates
employment data
study results
public health data
every kind of economic data
immigration numbers
it goes on and on. from china to the soviet union to cuba to the good old US of A and our crumbling statist failure factory and the academic and "expert" systems that shill for it, these lies dominate discourse.
it's all failed schemes have left when reality fails to comply with their promised utopias and models.
they lie rather than admit they were wrong.
they lie to retain ill used power (and it is always ill used because if it were not they would not need to deceive you)
no sound system needs to lie about its results.
and this is why information needs to be free.
The biggest advantage in trading is to be a contrarian.
It's not easy to buy when everything looks terrible.
It's not easy to sell when everything looks amazing.
But it's the only way to make money in the long run.

Here's to a prosperous 2025 filled with whale-sized opportunities!
Looks like Santa may be bringing the bulls coal on Christmas. Could go a bit higher still, closer to that 100k mark, but structure favors a move down to high 80ks next IMO.
