I think it's neat how Backrooms opens with a shot of a girl making a handprint in concrete, being a human impacting the world and leaving a trace of her presence, because the whole of the backrooms is a space where human presence is being imprinted. It reflects us, even if wrong

I'm really fascinated at the idea of the Backrooms having an alluring comfort for people who have been beaten down by life. A still, quiet room could be all someone needs after having gone through so much instability. Even if that room might house danger.
