Spell has had a tough summer. She was struck by a small boat earlier this summer and recently entangled in monofilament fishing line. When she made a close approach to the Whale Watcher, we got a clear look and are hopeful that she is currently gear free!
Great news to share! A whale watch boat out of Gloucester saw Ravine and her 2023 calf. It appears that the calf has shed the remaining lobster pot line and is now gear free!
Passenger Kristen Donovan captured this spectacular shot that we share in the memory of our whale watching buddy Donna St Onge. Donna lived for the full breach!
Did you know we have a whole education team on every cruise? Not only do we have our passionate naturalists providing commentary, we also have local volunteers like Becky pictured above who share their knowledge about life on the cape and local wildlife with passengers.
