@sarahMo3W It’s booking tests that’s the issue. Weren’t many lessons allowed during lockdown so literally had 2 years of kids wanting to learn at the same time. Waiting time for lessons was 6 months

@sarahMo3W So many who had brains and just played around now moan 30 odd years on all work they get is minimum wage or can’t find employment. I just think back to school and think you haven’t helped yourself at all. You could have got GCSEs if you just hadn’t acted the class clown
@sarahMo3W She’s having fun lol but is doing a college course part time and working at McDonald’s which she loves. Just needs to pass her driving test by September as it’s a requirement to get on the paramedic course. Where does he want to go?
I get the anger but this “They didn’t follow the rules so why did I?” narrative is sad. People feel their sacrifices didn’t count for anything but they did: many thousands of people in this country are alive today because most of us did follow the rules. Worth remembering that.
@sarahMo3W Frustrates me when kids just mess around at school and don’t achieve their full potential and that then follows them around for life. There were fa4 too many at my school
@sarahMo3W You don’t need to worry about them not reaching their full potential, you’ve got great kids who do put the work in. Frey is on a gap year but off to uni this year.
@sarahMo3W Well I thought I’d planned it right but life happens. To be honest there wasn’t a problem. They both studies hard and got the results they needed for uni. They did their best which is all you can ask fir as a parent. They don’t tend to argue or rub each other up
@sarahMo3W Mine were a school year apart but Liam got pushed 8n to the wrong a levels so changed subjects and started afresh meaning they both did a levels together
@t2stu @JasonManford I had a kidney infection and just collapsed and went in to a coma. I had no signs at all of sepsis. Very very lucky to be here. We were aware of the signs as my mum died from sepsis.
