But you would have to establish that these themes in all of these pieces of media are unnecessary to the story and weaken it, not simply having the message being bad.

You’d also need to show that depiction or criticism of these groups is shallow and just “X bad, Y good.”

You can want characters to look pleasing according to your own subjective taste of what is and isn’t pleasing to you. I don’t need to rely on an objective stance of beauty.

My point is this is unfairly targeted mostly at women and turns, “I don’t like how she looks,” into “they did this on purpose to spite men and her character sucks.”

No one is saying you can’t want characters to be pleasing to look at, but this is primarily pushed on women to look more “sexy” for male players, and if they don’t find them attractive, suddenly the game is bad and the character sucks. It doesn’t follow.

Grace is a black resistance leader in Nazi-occupied America. Why does her inclusion in the game not make any sense? She does racial resentment and talks about it, but by the end, she unites everyone to fight against the Nazis, so she isn’t treated as correct.
