सब कह रहे हैं कि CDS को भारतीय मीडिया को इंटरव्यू देना चाहिए। कोई यह नहीं बता रहा है कि उनसे किसी ने इंटरव्यू माँगा भी था? लड़ाकू विमान गिरने की ख़बर अपने चैनल और अख़बार में कौन पूछ रहा था और लिख रहा था? 11 मई को हिन्दू के दिनाकरन पेरी ने यह सवाल किया था। उसी सवाल के जवाब में काफ़ी इशारा था। उसे लेकर गोदी चैनलों ने क्या ख़बर चलाई थी? क्या इंटरव्यू माँगा था? क्या सभी उस चुप्पी का हिस्सा बन गए जो किसी को महान बनाने के लिए साधी गई थी? ऐसे लोग आक्रोशित हो रहे हैं जैसे रक्षा प्रमुख को ही फोन करना था कि ऐंकर भाई लाहौर से लौट आए हों तो मेरा इंटरव्यू कर सकेंगे? बताइये किसने इंटरव्यू मांगा था?

Gen be shooting shit with confidence…here’s why:
1. A formation level religious parade is not the same as a visit to a spiritual leader
2. If senior military leadership is tight for time, they also have ample resources, not to mention eager-to-please subordinates at every level, at their disposal to cater to not only their needs but also their whims. So if the Gen wanted a change of clothes, it would have been made possible
3. Just imagine this being the Air Force chief visiting the Golden Temple in uniform. The entire right wing ecosystem would have labelled him a Khalistani.
4. He, like any of us, has complete freedom to practice his faith. But as a private individual, not as COAS
