It represents those who will die because of homelessness, the gutting of the NDIS, the near abolition of public housing programs that our Prime Minister benefited from before pulling up the ladder behind himself. It represents the First Nations people who continue to die in custody.

The Allan government has just announced a taskforce to crack down on dodgy rentals.

I’ve given this government a lot of negative feedback recently over their lack of action for renters, and rightly so.

However, when Labor do the right thing, it makes me very happy. This is a (very small) win for renters struggling with an oppressive power imbalance. It’s the government’s job to prosecute, not renters’.
