instead of putting creative at the end of an assembly line, include us from the start of the process.
and pay us appropriately.
we expose a lot of gaps in a project/company but often too late in the process for you to address. our input is just as invaluable as our output.
This is true, but it doesn’t just stop at m*n. Everyone is shifting right; think about all the women who’ve been steady romanticizing trad wife content, despite a growing # women in those communities sounding alarms.
It’s a scary, massive, all-encompassing, global problem.
@mhairiforrest @AnandWrites we are seeing some of the best public speaking we’ve seen from political leaders this past couple of years. their bench is really deep, they are impressive.
The Palace of Versailles has around 15 million visitors a year, and France hasn't had a monarchy for 232 years since they excuted all but one. So, for all the Royalists out there, bleeting on about tourism.....shhhhh.
bar for bar, she is the better orator. unfailingly pragmatic, connects emotionally, explains complex concepts simply and uses empathetic, economical language.
she is one of the best living orators of our time. i will die on this hill.
One of the only things that I'm going to miss after the election is over is listening to former First Lady Michelle Obama give speeches.
Here is her full entire speech in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania tonight
And as much as I love me some Barack Obama, there's something about the way that Michelle speaks about women's reproductive rights that just hits harder.
She's magnificent and Melania Trump could never.
this is a hyperspecific brand of yt privileged canadian who gets papers (or doesn’t), heads to the states, and sheds their identity for a chance to tap into american conversations about things they have only marginally learned about + that will never affect them.
I think the democrats would have a lot more luck w certain demographics if they took the space program more seriously and had less strict rules with launches and the FAA. Taking any of the glory and dreams out of the equation, if we don't focus on mars/ moon/ space colonization - it's p easy for a foreign power to secure control over low earth orbit and destroy any enemy launch who tries to compete or poss even easily assassinate targets with regular projectiles like, I'm not an expert on this by any means but I assume that's not gna trigger any kind of mutually assured destruction? It seems murky at least, unless I'm missing smthn. Like it seems like anyone can just take over the world p easily if we hobble the space program
This is entirely conjecture based on conversations but, is this true or not? I could be wrong
Cardi B is like a case study in how people confuse social-class codes with intelligence.
If you listen to what Cardi says, it’s very obvious she’s highly intelligent.
But a lot of people, to their discredit, don’t hear it because of a bias against the argot she uses.
this is just an appeal to people (particularly black ppl) to continue paying attention to history, and to encourage others to do so. when you understand “what happened?” then you can understand “how did we get here?” and then you can start to figure out “what do we do next?” 3/
another black woman talking about the importance of history. as usual, we are the most dialed in — which people would know if they knew history. the spaces we occupied in the homes of white families is a great example. 1/
we were and continue to be ignored. the benefit of that is that we are given the opportunity to observe a variety of social situations, very intimately.
another good example of this is the preponderance of black inventors. if you understand the problem, you create a solution. 2/
this is why i have zero time for people who don’t learn history. your reality is the way it is because of things that happened before you — how is that concept so hard to understand?!
a therapist said “waiting for someone to act correctly is a disrespect to yourself. you’re compromising your worth just because someone can’t fully afford it” and i just fell that.
