K12 techs like trying to clean up their data closets and do better cable management until you start pricing things out. Everyone wants clean racks - nobody wants the invoice.
-And continued incidents around YouTube use that are making K12 tech leadership teams rethink access models
If you’re in K12 tech, this is the stuff keeping you and your peers up at night right now.
-Districts hitting the 2–3 year mark after full Chromebook fleet refreshes and realizing what that lifecycle really feels like when thousands of devices age at the same time
-Parent requests for access to student email accounts (always a fun conversation…)
Districts are dealing w/ students using AI Mode inside Google Search & it’s messing with filtering & reports. Techs are trying everything from blocking udm=50 in their filter to adjusting firewall rules… & still having issues, you know, playing whack-a-mole with AI right now.
