I agree Atrioc is weird but I don’t understand how we can enforce the standard of
“If you have jerked off to a coworker you need to quit your job and never work in that industry again”
Mattress Girl, the Columbia student who carried a mattress around campus for a year, got her name and photo on the NYT front page without a scintilla of doubt. Why the certainty? The accused was a White male. Then her texts to him came out, and Columbia settled with him.
The worst consequence of cancel culture was not the individual lives affected—it's terrible, and I know many whose lives were severely, negative affected, in incredibly unjust ways—but that the phenomenon eradicated the last vestige of truth to the point where it's now commonplace to laugh off genuine moral disgust, call people haters or "the mob", and respond with "haha, you think that's bad, now watch me double down!" to the applause of your 'base'. This is actual nihilism, and it is apparently leading millions of people off a cliff like Legion-infested swine.
This is not the political playbook you think it is; it's Satan's.
Cancel culture is largely responsible for the alienation of men and women. Men, who form opinions through reason, have to pretend left wing beliefs to stay employed. Women, who form opinions by looking around at what other people are saying, only hear left wing opinions.
@lavenderslou When you say "should not be allowed back in the streaming universe" I get that's a catchy slogan, but what does that actually mean? What does that look like in practice?
If he streams, join lobbies, and gets viewers, are you saying someone should step in & sabotage his career?
Bowing to cancel culture is self immolation. You are never forgiven etc so your contrition is for nothing and no one and only contributes to your own undoing.
Beating up @Atrioc when he’s spent over $100,000 funding efforts to expunge similar content is counter productive. Try targeting the places that host the content or people who created it…
Like what is Atrioc supposed to do —Embrace existence as a pariah and exile himself?
@Canadianflre@slickmathias24@39daph@pokimanelol In this analogy Ludwig's wedding is supposed to be... a work Xmas party?
Don't you see how that analogy fails on, like, every single conceivable metric...
Women think that "He made me uncomfortable" is some kind of bulletproof argument that can never be questioned and must be taken with the utmost importance, and justifies any & every action against the man
Once you see it it's impossible to unsee it
