@mdixonair Agreed that it’s a pretty good turnout for this match, but it’s clearly not a sellout. And pretty good turnout doesn’t excuse the exorbitant greed FIFA has displayed for this World Cup.
@Trueblood71571@timkawakami Who gave the Giants those territorial rights to begin with the intention to help them explore the possibility of moving to SJ? Who refused to give back those rights back when the original owner was exploring the same option?
@ChillinEffect@elonmusk You do realize those dots are incorrect right? Biden wasn’t president at the beginning of 2020 and Trump wasn’t president at the beginning of 2024. Please learn to correctly read a basic chart like this.
@CyrusGee27@ChillinEffect@elonmusk Yeah it would just show they don’t know how to read a chart. The red dots are 100% incorrect when you actually look at the data being presented.
@PhillyHotspur@JeffPassan@TaylorTwellman He was the winning pitcher of record in game 1 and pitched very well in 5 of his 6 innings of work in Philly so saying he “was a complete no show” is a bit disingenuous.
@ChrisShaver64@JeffPassan@MLB You do know that any team that signed him would’ve had the same deal right? It was Ohtani’s idea. And it’s perfectly within the rules. Just a unique deal for an incredibly unique player, but keep on crying if it makes you feel better.
@yugiboiii239@CaseyAPratt What mental gymnastics?
The A’s wanted to move to San Jose. San Jose wanted the A’s. The Giants blocked the move. The city sued but lost because MLB and the commissioner had no spine to tell an owner they should do the honorable thing. Selfish greed won in the end.
@CaseyAPratt As an A’s fan I’ll never forgive the @SFGiants for this as well as Bud Selig being a sniveling coward and not correcting the matter when he had plenty of opportunity.
