Jess Philips is a committed and caring minister, and you, sir, are a toxic gonad. The UK is not your plaything, wealth doesn’t exempt you from international law, and owning X doesn’t give you license to poison the discourse of any country whose government you disagree with.
This is Eva Marie Kogel, the opinion editor for the German newspaper Welt. She has resigned in protest after Welt published an op-ed from Elon Musk supporting the AfD, a far-right political party with ties to Neo-Nazis.
RETWEET to thank @EMKogel for standing up for democracy!
@nimishdubey It's the joy of the game that there is a need for variety of skills. Again you rightly have chosen two great bowlers. I think we are in violent agreement, certainly not disagreement. Strike rate in batting or bowling can only ever be part of the story.
@nimishdubey Agreed especially on the particular relevance to pace bowlers. Interestingly, your examples of Roberts, Snow and Thomson emphasise the way that the measure helps identify attacking, quick bowlers all of whom had major impacts on opposition confidence in key series.
@nimishdubey@alawyerwrites @DaveRob13699163 @fredfertang @CraigNelsy@tds122@WG_RumblePants @kartik_kompella @Koushik_laribee Great picture, great comment. Wonderful that you identify two such different cricketers as being your favourites. Apart from both being left handed and both outstanding it's hard to think of two more different cricketers. Highlights what a great game it is.
We said that we'd bring back the family doctor, and that's what this Labour Government is doing with today's new £889m reform-driven investment in GP surgeries.
General Practice is the front door of the NHS.
The Tories broke it, we’re fixing it.
Like this post if you haven’t forgotten that the Tories left the country in the most appalling mess less than 6 months ago.
Repost if you feel that the damage they did to public services, including the NHS, over 14 dreadful years is going to take many years to fix.
Remember all the outraged coverage about a handful of climate protesters slowing ambulances a few years back?
Well it turns out that wealthy farmers doing exactly the same thing on a much bigger scale is absolutely fine

We've just lived through 14 years of Tory austerity, but the right continues to blame collapsing public services on migrants and refugees.
We must never accept this false and reactionary framing.
This is a deliberately laid out trap, and our government must not walk into it.
2024: Boris Johnson claims that the UK got the vaccine first because we were outside the EU with Brexit
2020: The head of the UK regulator the MHRA explains how the UK got the vaccine while still inside the EU, using EU law as we hadn't left the EU at the time
Brexit had nothing to do with the UK getting the vaccine first - never allow Boris Johnson to get away with this lie
@implausibleblog Oh yes of course. On transport he liked making model buses didn't he? On monarchs he just thought it was ok to lie to them! Don't start me on foreign affairs! 😔
@implausibleblog What he means is they were rammed full of slogans. Johnson had no concept of what "levelling up" meant in practice, no plans for how to manage the economy once UK left EU. His government had no concept of policy or implementation, just lies and slogans to win elections.
In 1970 the UK and Norway were roughly equal, almost no debt, and owned all their Public Services.
Now the UK owns nothing and has £3tn of debt.
While Norway still owns everything and has the equivilant per person of £10tn.
That's how privatisation 'works'.
