If drivers had any common sense whatsoever they'd be campaigning for other drivers to switch away from cars as quickly as possible to help those who actually need their car but no they'll continue to act hard done by when car driving is catered to more than anything 🤦
Top notich @forestbike_uk dockless bike parking by a Kingston resident in the middle of a well-used cycle lane. 🤦♀️Why are there never any consequences for the person who put it there?
@KingstonNubNews Parking really is the only local matter that motivates the average Kingston resident to get out of their cars and into the Guildhall. Thoroughly depressing.
@ihateyo24281890@London_Cycling Well, they'd have to be able to negotiate the barriers first to even be able to use that stretch - so one step at a time. But I'd imagine the bike-pushers would probably do the same thing as a wheelchair user would if they happen to meet another coming from the other direction.
People who try to block changes to our streets, such as bus lanes or cycle routes, should be required to explain what their solution is. It's all very well to object to change, but the problem it's trying to solve still exists. What's YOUR big idea?
Being a woman is kind of like being a cyclist in a city where all the cars represent men. You're supposed to be able to share the road equally with cars, but that's not how it works. The roads are built for cars and you spend a great deal of physical and mental energy being defensive and trying not to get hurt. Some of the cars want you to get hurt. They think you don't have any place on the road at all. And if you do get hurt by a car, everyone makes excuses that it's your fault.
@ChaponaBike123 Stupid Q but I'm guessing you didn't manage to get the numberplate? Just I always have to check the vehicle make etc on https://t.co/G72OxZezho.
