Now that some time has passed I need to vent on my feelings regarding The Odyssey.
I don’t like the movie. I really tried. Unlike Nolan who didn’t.

At the end of the day this is Nolan’s Odyssey, it’s his vision he has a right to it. The Odyssey is in the public domain and anyone can adapt it.
Will someone try again after this? No one serious at least in the next 10 years.
For me the movie didn’t work. I wish it did.

Overall even though The Odyssey is supposed to be about the trip back home, this movie is actually about Odysseus getting Christian guilt over inventing the Troyan horse trick and destroying Troy.
The real trip is him realizing what he has done.
