@MyGlasgowCC@GlasgowCC Our blue bins have now not been collected for over a month (two missed collections) & they are overflowing with waste from the Christmas period. If we submit a missed collection form it is immediately closed as a duplicate. Could you please sort this out.
@ScotRail The screen said 'canacelled' and now it's showing no info. Just spoke to your costumer service phone line, they said it's delayed and expected to arrive at 21:46, so i'll wait around
Can anyone recommend literature on the development of energy infrastructure in Denmark ca. 1970-2000, especially the impact of the oil crisis on (govt investments into) energy efficiency? #dkforsk#dkenergi
@BBCSimonJack@fuel_bank This is because prepayment customers don't have the privilege of spreading costs evenly over 12 months. And prepay tariffs are also higher than direct debit. Once again, those who have the least gets to pay the highest price.
@BBCSimonJack Even more dire for prepay customers: 'In January 2022, prepayment meter customers paid on average £183 for a month’s energy. By this Christmas the same customer will need to pay £480 for energy during December alone.' January 2023 would be £713, says @fuel_bank.
THE THING IS THAT EVERYONE CALLS THEM ‘SEAGULL’ BUT THERE ARE TWELVE SPECIES OF GULL REGULARLY SEEN IN BRITAIN AND NONE OF THEM ARE ACTUALLY CALLED ‘SEAGULL’
@seanbaillie9 Not Scottish Power, on the basis of awful customer service. Octopus and EDF seem decent at the moment. Changing supplier is not easy right now, go for whoever doesn't force you on a fixed tariff (higher than the price cap). I work as an energy advisor, lmk if you need more help.
"Our landlord wants us to move out, and the only properties we can move to - of a similar or smaller size - are double the rent we are currently struggling to pay. Full time work doesnt provide enough income for us to pay rent + bills + buy food, all of which we only just manage.
These are not dystopian scenes from Blade Runner. Instead, to mark the Jubilee, I actually transport you back 70 years to the London of 1952 and The Great Smog that year which killed 10,000 Londoners and made a further 100,000 ill. The event directly resulted in the Clean Air Act
