I'm looking forward to heading to Nashville for CreativePro Week at the end of June.
I've got classes lined up to teach Curves (the most versatile adjustment I know of) and Masking in Camera Raw/Lightroom (what I use on darn near 100% of my images).
It's also nice to catch up with my more design-focused friends who go beyond photography to play in InDesign, Illustrator and other apps. You might not know that I started out as a graphic designer and I design and layout most of the books I've written.
If you make it to Nashville, be sure checkout Hatch Show Print. It's the oldest letterpress poster and design shop that I know of. They've been at it since 1879!
Hope to see you there. For more info on the conference, visit: https://t.co/jscgK7mTlp
@CARandDRIVER Butt ugly. They forgot that a Ferrari should be sexy. I like EVs, but I hate ugly cars and therefore I hate this one. What were they thinking? Ferrari is now as sexy as a fax machine to me… when I hear their name I’ll think of this check of junk.
@davexesq@JoannaStern@jasonfried I can’t wait to get away from HEY. Search SUCKS making it next to useless when you are in a bind. The only reason I’m reading these comments is to find a better alternative.
Well, it looks like the Yoga book is not going to become a reality. That is unless 281 more people step up with pre-orders in the next 27 hours, the campaign won't reach its goal.
II want to sincerely thank everyone who supported it—whether by placing a pre-order or by sharing the word far and wide. All existing pre-orders will be automatically cancelled, and no one's card will be charged.
This experience taught me several valuable lessons. In hindsight, I should have offered a steeper discount for early supporters, and the overall cover price was likely set too high. That said, dropping the price further would have required an even larger number of backers to break even. Ultimately, it's far better to have an unsuccessful Kickstarter than to sink $20,000 into printing and be left with 929 unsold copies sitting in my garage.
On a tougher note, the promotion around this project unfortunately cost me my best international travel gig. I have almost zero clue why it happened—I've only heard a vague hint that it stemmed from someone else sharing the Kickstarter campaign I still have other opportunities (with lines like Crystal, Silversea, and similar), but losing this one hit hard and noticeably reduced my income. Combined with the campaign's failure, it's taken a significant emotional toll on both Karen and me.
@nasdaily@Grokipedia I was amazed at the detail and accuracy of my listing. It had two things wrong and was out of date on about three more. I made suggestions and it updated it within 48 hours. It didn't add what I suggested, it added MUCH more detail than anything I supplied. I was amazed.
PRE-ORDERS JUST STARTED FOR MY UPCOMING BOOK!
Help make our book a reality by pre-ordering a copy on kickstarter. You won't be charged unless we raise enough money for our initial print run by February 10th. Take advantage of our early bird special for the lowest price today. Click for full details (Please share this far and wide): https://t.co/LSDRpgvRN0
Why not provide useful documentation instead of insisting on having a simple web site?
I just installed your iOS app. I find no info on your web site or within the app about why your app icon constantly appears in my iPhone's Dynamic Island even when I'm not using my voice for typing.
I also don't understand:
1. Why it is displayed so prominently on my lock screen when I didn't do anything to put it there and why specifically I would need to toggle it on and off from the lock screen.
2. Why there is a setting for it to turn itself off only after a certain length of time
It would be useful to describe why it's set up this way. Otherwise, I want to uninstall your app because it shows up prominently even when I am not actively using it.
@LinusEkenstam I’ll be there… teaching a lab on Photoshop.
Will be finding time to explore the Hollyhock house and might even make it to the Highland Park Bowl. Lots to see in L.A. away from the convention center.
@SnazzyLabs@elonmusk It’s marketing, so “up to” always means “never more than”.
It’s never wise to assume such statements represent the average expected result, unless you like being disappointed.

@NotATeslaApp Close garage door after I pull in and the car is in park… then reopen garage door when I step in and put foot on brake. Also don’t let me back into a partially open garage door (it happened when I was in a hurry). Camera can tell current state of the garage door.
I'll be teaching three sessions at the upcoming Lightroom Virtual Summit. You can watch for free if you time it right, get your pass here: https://t.co/PguhgopXRw
