On January 1 2024, Niklaus Wirth, the inventor of Pascal and Oberon, and holder of the Turing award, professor emeritus at @ETH#Zurich died.

Classical cryptography trick: to reduce eavesdroppers' knowledge of your bits, use an XOR gate on randomly chosen pairs. If they know each of your original bits with 70% confidence, their likelihood of guessing the XOR output is only 0.7^2+0.3^2 -> 58%. Repeat till ~50%🕵️#crypto
