Not having much luck with headphones lately. First my @BowersWilkins PXs fell to bits.

Made the mistake of replacing them with @sony’s XM4s. Which have shocking sound quality - it’s like the singer is in the next room. Inexplicable why they get such good reviews.

Thinking about it, build quality has always a bit of an issue for @BowersWilkins headphones. Briefly had a pair of C5s which fell to bits after just a few months.

To paraphrase, losing one set of headphones this way is unfortunate (P5). Losing a second (PX) begins to look like bad design @BowersWilkins.

My PXs are only 3 years old, not good enough at this price point. Love @BowersWilkins, from my DM110s which were finally retired a few years ago to my wonderful 804s, but for headphones, think it might be Sony next time.

@RuthElleson @bachtrack @bbcproms Fair point. Although I’ve been saying this for I don’t know how long... And it shouldn‘t be that fundamental. It’s same with sounds and the number of clicks it takes to get anywhere.

@TimHarford It can then become something of a universal archive, a bit like your ten email commandments (and indeed you can forward email into it), but with you in total control of what goes in. Good for saving articles too (and unlike Pocket the search actually finds them later).

@TimHarford I find its utility rises in proportion to the amount of info held. The search is excellent, so I’d just dump in everything that might be useful and loosely organise, e.g. some notebooks by subject / project (a fairly Messy approach in other words).
