BREAKING: A boil-water advisory has been issued for part of LA’s Koreatown after E. coli was detected in a routine water sample, according to LADWP.
The advisory impacts a highly residential area between 5th & 6th streets and Ardmore & Mariposa avenues. Thousands are estimated to be affected, with some businesses forced to close.
Officials say it is not related to the Boyle Heights warehouse fire.
ABDSP continues to be littered with helium-filled mylar balloons, bought and released at the coast. Balloons ascend up the mountains and drift back down into the desert as they deflate. https://t.co/XuXtqDfOZ0
@WallStreetApes Cesar is in a legal dispute so he can't charge for the nectarines, but doesn't want 125K lbs to go to waste like last year. Go ahead and support him if you can, and swing by the farm if you're passing through the Fresno area. https://t.co/Y4b2Mugx3f

Free nectarines for the Central Valley. As a long-time nectarine fan: look for ones that have a lot of little spots throughout. These are the sweetest ripe ones.
If you go, please look out for donations to help this small farmer losing his crop to big agriculture for the 2nd yr
Nectarine farmer in California is giving away his entire 125,000 lbs of ripe nectarines to the public for free
He says Big Agriculture in California has made it impossible for him to harvest and sell his nectarines

What’s happening is a handful of large marketers and packers dominate, they are squeezing independent growers
Direct-to-retail attempts often get countered aggressively. The big companies severely undercut farmers like this to drive them out of business
*straightens glasses* Furthermore, steamer trunks were kept at the rear of a horse and carriage. That’s why we have the trunk of the car at the back.
And why I personally hate seeing cars where the trunk is in the front of the car.

This is not the first time that solar panels caught fire at this same building. In August 2024, the solar panels on this building caught fire but LAFD was able to successfully put out the fire in less than an hour.
One question we've asked is what came out of that past fire?
*EXTENDED* The Particle Pollution Advisory has been extended until Tuesday, June 23 at 12:30PM.

TL;DR: particulate matter (like pm2.5 from wildfires, burning solar panels, toxic fumes your City fails to put out) doesn’t just attack your lungs and heart — it’s leading to
gastroesophagel reflux disorder (GERD).
I’m about 10 miles east of the Lineage Fire. N95s while outdoors. Windows closed as much as possible. But I’m on day 2 of migraines and unexplained heart burn.
So had I to search to see heartburn is connected to air quality.
Sure enough, research as of 2025 showing increased gastrointestinal problems with increased exposure air pollutants, including PM2.5.
“71% of particulate matter deposited in the nose is subsequently transported to the gastrointestinal tract”
