Given Finn's history of being constantly sexualized, stalked and harassed by older women & fangirls of all ages since he was a >child< I'm not surprised he's a little awkward around girls and feels more comfortable around his male friends
This discourse that he is a misogynist is so empty and shallow. He made one unfortunate joke on SNL (a tv show with notable horrible trashy humour overall) and apparently that's reason enough to spend 10 months going off about how he's allegedly a "misogynist"? Now, I'm not excusing the joke that was made in January, neither do I blame people who were offended by it, but to harass him for almost a year over it? That's entirely disproportionate and counterproductive.
Now, another topic. Notice how Finn isn't awkward and avoidant around the women in his life, like his mother, friends and co-stars, AKA people he knows and trusts. That is VERY noticeable.
Have any of you ever considered that him being a little awkward and barely touching female fans when taking pictures could be due to how obsessed some his fangirls are (and have been since he was a kid) to a sick and concerning level that maybe he doesn't want any quick interactions to be misinterpreted? For example, like some people have described in detail how Noah held their waist in the m&g for a photo as if it was a romantic interaction.
You people do not know what misogyny means. Misogynists are women haters, men who see women as inferiors, who want our rights stripped, who trash talk women all the time, who are CONSTANTLY making jokes that degrade women, who excuse sexual abuse, and the list goes on. Stop banalizing a serious issue just because you don't like him. There are women being killed and abused every day and you're here worried about Finn fucking Wolfhard. Grow the fuck up. And if you're not a woman, shut the fuck up.
