Web Designer. If the developer says no, they're just being difficult. Submit it for client approval anyway

[Whingy Designer @whingydesignr]

ProTip: the deadline for getting final designs to the Developer is when you should send the .PSD for client approval

$178,000,000,000 in cash and we're still left with this monstrosity

[Whingy Designer @whingydesignr]

"A user interface is like a joke. If you have to be explain it, then it’s not that good"

also if you hinder my creativity with UX reqs...

[Whingy Designer @whingydesignr]

If you can't make this custom webfont render exactly the same across Mac and Windows you're no good to me

[Whingy Designer @whingydesignr]

Asked at interview my version control process...

draft.psd > final.psd > final_working_master.psd > final_working_master_v3.psd

Nailed it

First day, I was asked if I'd ever used Bower before.

Said I'd seen the first 3 series but had fell too far behind to catch up

How to make friends with devs:

Wait until they've closed that BugHerd request, then send an email requesting it be changed right back

[Whingy Designer @whingydesignr]

Recruiter: "You worked for Facebook?!"

Me: "Facebook and I have a special kind of contract. I design stuff for Dribbble, they ignore it"

[Whingy Designer @whingydesignr]

My kingdom for some *actual*, qualitative feedback on Dribbble...

[Whingy Designer @whingydesignr]

I was going to start using Sketch but it's just far too mainstream now

[Whingy Designer @whingydesignr]

Sometimes I wonder if flat design came about because we couldnt handle photoshop's default drop shadow anymore

And I'm totally OK with that

[Whingy Designer @whingydesignr]

Love the Facebook mobile site...

I'm such a sucker for the chunky blue/grey gradients of 2008 in UIs.

I was all set to enjoy Christmas, then I received a card typed in Arial.

Christmas is cancelled, kids.

[Whingy Designer @whingydesignr]

OK @iamdevloper I've mocked this parallax-responsive-3d-infographic-singlepageapp in Flash, if you could go ahead and HTML5/CSS3ify it..?

[Whingy Designer @whingydesignr]

DDD

...Dribbble Driven Design

[Whingy Designer @whingydesignr]

You say 'usability of this sucks', I say 'have you seen the dribbble like count?'

[Whingy Designer @whingydesignr]

Getting tired of the front end developer telling me he can't even do simple stuff like vertically aligning some text in a div.

Amateur

[Whingy Designer @whingydesignr]

If Photoshop can go ahead and build a freaking responsive canvas already, that'd be great

[Whingy Designer @whingydesignr]

Just designed a really cool parallax HTML email.

brb, off to get @iamdevloper to sign off on the build

GIT, SVN, SASS, BEM, OOJS, CMS, SFTP

Not sure if code speak and the devs are talking about me...
