In the scorching desert of Karbala, Imam Hussain stood alone, calling out "Hal min nasirin yansurna"The only reply then was the cruel silence of the desert.
Today, From every corner of the world every conscious free soul answers back "Labaik Ya Hussain"
Ashura is a time of remembrance, sacrifice and reflection.
Today, on the 10th day of Muharram, we are reminded of Imam Hussain's unwavering commitment to truth and dignity. His timeless legacy reminds us of the enduring values of faith, service to one another, and the belief that justice is always worth fighting for.

It's so rich of Sunnis to question Shia practices/theology while the world is witnessing real time Shias taking on superpowers while being minority and Sunnis bowing to superpowers while being majority. If anything Sunnis need to introspect and thank to God for existence of Shias
embarassing seeing shia vs sunni "debates" in 2026 when the shia leaders of the time have made the reigning imperial power kneel and the sunni leaders have mostly been fighting to prolong their hold on power that doesnt go beyond subjugation of their own people.
3 things the karachi Shias need to collectively discard:
1) loudspeakers on a sabeel. Tone it down. 24/7 full vol is not ok.
2) the newly added stage beneath the mimbar? the mimbar itself was enough. Stage pe you have VIPs, against the ‘equality’ principle on the farsh e aza.
The butchering of animals for Bakrid should be done only inside designated slaughterhouses and not in residential areas or public streets. Slaughtering in public places can cause severe distress to people who have never witnessed the butchering and skinning of animals.
