If I got all the things I ever wanted I would be stuck in Bakersfield, maybe feeling okay with some lover I thought was the one when I was younger. I'm glad I don't always have my way, time humbles me again and again. I'm reminded even in my deepest heart there is more.

a major problem with being chronically online is that you get so caught up in the consumption you forget that you're supposed to be creating. the constant influx and gluttony of information and media can only manifest in mania and I throw myself at any and everything.
Today after three days of being trapped in my room to avoid exposing my roommate to covid, I felt alive and myself for the first time in a while. I had fluid thoughts, I even caught myself daydreaming about what to do next.
It's good when I see my old work still attached to projects I'm no longer working with. Reminds me that even when we disconnect I still was there. A visual marker that says I was here.
