@JayExci The more popular AI becomes the more harmful it is. Every hit makes it more likely some CEO pivots to AI and ruins another product. I haven’t been able to Google for images without finding a sea of AI slop for nearly a year. Fuck it all.
@VoicesByZane Even artists who have their own twists on the 40K aesthetic can capture a vibe that the Abominable Intelligences cannot hope to comprehend.
@LSotek Ulthuan is a colonialist power, with a powerful navy and a sense of earned superiority. Albion might be England but Ulthuan is always gonna be Great Britain to me. They might not use slaves now, but you probably shouldn't ignore that history.
@LSotek I like the idea of Guilliman horribly losing vs the tyranids and getting half eaten. He retreats to do administration desk-job for the imperium, while the Lion and the Dark Angels hunt big bugs with primarch genes.
@VoicesByZane My answer to dumb GW fluff is that him being a perpetual is a myth, and every time an unknown guardsman did some insane feat of sacrifice, the muttering around the trenches is that its all the same legendary guy. You also get the added irony of the actual hero being forgotten.
@_Jyggalag_ I do the opposite in the campaign I run. In the Realm of Chaos both fantasy and 40K show up, fantasy orcs just pick up shootas and some stikkbombs and blend right in to the waaagh!
@LSotek@xathrodox86@RebeccaSkinner0 @DeRosaDoodles @Hapimeses I like the Vampire the Masquerade answer to this where consuming wine would just make them sick, but drinking the blood of someone who is drunk gives them a buzz.
@VoicesByZane It's always a case of overexposure. If Ultramarines weren't the invincible posterboys then bureaucratic poet-warriors would be the coolest vibe.
@PerryPlayStuff@JayExci Vader is shown deflecting lightsaber blades with the force and using intimidation to just scare opponents into mistakes. Canon answer is likely that the Emperor never wanted Vader to challenge him, and wouldnt care if he was injured against jedi.
@JayExci I have 0 skin in this game, but it seems like a modern guy being shot by a medieval longbow and the audience asking why he wasnt wearing a padded jerkin. Cortosis is an ancient armour for an ancient weapon. Lightsabers are meant to be rare, regardless of SW marketing/toy sales.
@VoicesByZane @JerichoWolfLive In the campaign I DM I let goofy stuff happen, but the Waagh! energy required needs the belief of billions of orks concentrated. Thats why guns made of scrap work and why my players shouting bang doesnt.
@VoicesByZane Playing a dwarf in 5e is great because the one unique thing is getting a super specific bonus to stonemasonry knowledge checks. It so very rarely comes up but when it does you just unlock the ancestral hyperfixations and go Dawi Mode.
@ThatDangPhil I find that "just get Scadu" is answered by the exploration that Elden Ring originally taught us. The game taught us how to play and then the DLC is just making sure we were paying attention.
