This edition of Japanese Shinshu Mars distillery's Komagatake has subtle smoky wood and peat notes in the background. The single malt is also characterized by salty and fruity notes of the Komagatake series. An elegant and tasty dram!

Linkwood Distillery, located in Speyside, doesn't release its own single malts. However, the distillery has gained popularity due to the quality bottlings released by independent bottlers. One such bottling is this 11-year-old, matured in bourbon casks.

In 2013, the Arran Distillery released a bottling called Millennium Casks. The spirit for this single malt was vatted on December 31, 1999, and January 1, 2000 (35 bourbon and 10 sherry casks). After 13 years, this resulted in 7,800 bottles.

There isn't much information available about the Tomintoul Cigar Malt, except that it's a special distillery bottling matured in sherry casks. However, here are some tasting notes: anise, juniper, dried fruit, tobacco, mild smoke, and peat.
