@teddydrinks I love this... this definitely resonates with how I've felt since leaving NYC for Vermont, as my life and friends' lives have changed since Covid. No more rosé parties on Brooklyn rooftops... but other new and different things instead.
I asked #ChatGPT if it could create TTB-ready labels. It said yes. I asked it to make one for a hot honey-infused Wild Turkey. Here's what I got. @RBird101, thoughts?

@WhatTastesGood This always made me nuts, especially because half the time I had already seen that exact video before. Often in my prep for the meeting!
@TaylorCope1982 I'm with Joshua on this - they're quite different, and for an I.B. the source is basically the point. Not so much for NDPs. Both can release great whiskey, though!
As a new American Whiskey Independent Bottler, their purpose was clear: shine a light on the most exciting and unique whiskies being made in America and release them as single casks and blends with complete transparency. #vteconomy https://t.co/6jnq8gOd3b
Wow. Quite a wild week! Congrats to the folks at @BalconesWhisky... and to the folks at Diageo, for snapping up one of the most exciting distilleries in the world.
@WhiskyAdvocate would have let me get away with putting "this whiskey tastes like sailing across the wine-dark sea" in a tasting note so @LostLanternDram better let me put it on a label!
@LouGirl502 Last time I wrote something, I ended up using an AI-powered transcription service. Not perfect but cheap, usable, and better than I expected. And best of all, I didn't have to listen to myself on a recording!
@thedramble Fascinating. My experience cofounding an IB for American whiskey is so similar and so different. The places we work with are much smaller so samples/relationships aren't as hard. No brokers. But bottling, logistics, and explaining to customers what an IB *is*, aren't so easy!
From personal experience, adding the state of distillation to a label is zero difficult. In fact, most states have fewer letters than 'Kentucky' does, so it may actually save you 0.1 seconds per release!
It was suggested to me yesterday on LinkedIn that requiring a whiskey producer to print the state in which the product was distilled and what legal style of whiskey is in the bottle might be burdensome.
Reminder that it is not required to be printed in blood.
Venturing into the less common “Rye Malt” class of whiskey, elements of rye spice, softer bakery-like flavors, and citrus come together nicely in Lost Lantern’s 2022 Single Cask #14 from Cedar Ridge. https://t.co/b8NzlslALj
