The lengths people to go to deny Russia any agency over its own actions never ceases to amaze. It's as if Vicky Nuland's cookies are what stopped russia from reversing 550 years of invading people and but for that a Russian Dali Lama would be in the Kremlin today.

[Jake Broe @RealJakeBroe]

October was the deadliest month of the war for the Russians as they lost 54,400 soliders and net lost territory on the battlefield. Ukraine struck Russia's oil refineries in Novokuibyshevsk, Ufa, and Kstovo. Almost 800 Ukrainian residents were allowed to safely evacuate Oleshky with almost all of them finally making it to Ukrainian territory.

🇵🇱🇷🇺‼️ POLISH PRIME MINISTER DONALD TUSK ACCUSES PRO-RUSSIAN FORCES AND RUSSIAN BOTS OF INTERFERING IN POLAND’S CONSTITUTIONAL COURT CRISIS.

Tusk claimed that politicians and organizations seeking to weaken Polish democracy are receiving support from pro-Russian forces, while Russian bot networks are also attempting to influence the dispute surrounding the Constitutional Tribunal.

The Polish prime minister directly accused President Karol Nawrocki and the opposition Law and Justice party (PiS) of obstructing changes concerning the Constitutional Tribunal’s functioning.

Tusk stressed that Poland must defend the independence of its democratic institutions and uphold the rule of law.

His allegations of Russian involvement have not been independently established.

🔥 The dispute highlights the intersection of Poland’s domestic institutional crisis and concerns about foreign interference.

Russian information operations have long been a security concern across NATO’s eastern flank, but specific allegations of interference require supporting evidence.

The confrontation between Tusk’s government, the presidency and PiS also illustrates how disagreements over judicial authority can deepen political divisions within a country that plays a central role in European security and support for Ukraine.

🇺🇦🎯🔥🇷🇺‼️ MULTIPLE CRITICAL UNITS AT RUSSIA’S NOVOKUYBYSHEVSK OIL REFINERY WERE REPORTEDLY SERIOUSLY DAMAGED IN A UKRAINIAN DRONE STRIKE TWO DAYS AGO.

New reports describe extensive damage to the refinery in Russia’s Samara Oblast, including several facilities essential to fuel production.

The reported damage includes

▪️ AVT-9 — A primary crude oil distillation unit responsible for separating crude oil into gasoline, kerosene, diesel and other fractions.

▪️ AVT-11 — Another primary processing unit whose damage could significantly reduce the refinery’s operational capacity.

▪️ Diesel hydrotreating unit — Equipment used to remove sulfur and other impurities from diesel fuel to meet quality standards.

▪️ Two unidentified processing units located near AVT-9.

▪️ Oil storage tank farm — Facilities used to store crude oil and refined petroleum products.

The full extent of the damage and the refinery’s current operating status have not been independently confirmed.

🔥 The reported simultaneous damage to primary distillation units, diesel treatment equipment and storage infrastructure could have consequences beyond a temporary disruption.

Primary processing units are central to refinery operations, while hydrotreating facilities are important for producing diesel that meets required specifications.

If the reported damage is confirmed, restoring normal production could require substantial repairs, potentially adding pressure to Russia’s domestic fuel supply and refining capacity.

For Ukraine, strikes against Russian refining infrastructure remain a means of imposing economic and logistical costs on Moscow’s war effort.

🇺🇦🎯🔥🇷🇺‼️ ZELENSKY SAYS UKRAINIAN FORCES STRUCK A RUSSIAN MISSILE PRODUCTION FACILITY AND DESTROYED AIR-DEFENSE ASSETS WORTH APPROXIMATELY $70 MILLION.

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine’s latest long-range strikes targeted Russia’s Rostov Oblast, including the Kamensky plant, a defense-industrial facility involved in missile production.

According to Zelensky, Ukrainian forces also destroyed a Russian Pantsir-S2 air-defense system and a command post associated with an S-400 Triumf air-defense system.

The Ukrainian president estimated the combined value of the destroyed air-defense assets at approximately $70 million.

“Our long-range sanctions are targeting Russia’s Rostov region this time,” Zelensky stated.

He thanked personnel of the Security Service of Ukraine and other units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces for the precision of the operation.

“We are justly defending ourselves against Russian aggression and doing everything possible to reduce Russia’s ability to continue it.”

🔥 The reported strikes targeted two important components of Russia’s military infrastructure, its missile production of capabilities and the air-defense systems protecting strategic assets.

Damage to the Kamensky plant could affect elements of Russia’s missile supply chain, while the destruction of air-defense equipment could create additional vulnerabilities around military and industrial facilities.

The actual operational impact will depend on the extent of the damage and Russia’s ability to replace the affected systems.

🇷🇺🇺🇸🇺🇦‼️ TRUMP IS THE KREMLIN’S LAST SERIOUS CHANCE TO END THE WAR WITHOUT LOSING FACE, ACCORDING TO A RUSSIAN JOURNALIST WHO INITIALLY SUPPORTED THE INVASION OF UKRAINE.

Russian journalist Dmitry Borisenko, host of the online platform Glavred Borisenko, has offered a striking assessment of Moscow’s increasingly difficult strategic position.

“Donald Trump represents the last serious resource available to the Russian authorities to find a way out of the current situation while saving face. However, the original objectives of the special military operation will remain unachieved.”

Borisenko initially supported Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022 but subsequently relocated to Serbia.

His remarks suggest that even some Russian commentators who originally backed the invasion now see a negotiated exit as a possible way for Moscow to avoid acknowledging the failure of its initial ambitions.

🔥 Borisenko’s assessment highlights a central contradiction in Russia’s war strategy.

Moscow launched its invasion with far-reaching political and military objectives, yet a settlement that allows the Kremlin to claim a diplomatic success would not necessarily mean those objectives had been achieved.

His comments also raise questions about whether the Kremlin views negotiations involving Trump as an opportunity to secure concessions that Russia has been unable to obtain through military force.

For Ukraine, the critical distinction remains between ending the fighting and accepting a settlement that rewards Russian aggression.

🇺🇦💪🔥🇷🇺‼️ UKRAINIAN FORCES HAVE REPORTEDLY PUSHED RUSSIAN TROOPS BACK ON THE SLOVIANSK AND KRAMATORSK FRONTS, RECLAIMING UP TO 17.3 SQUARE KILOMETERS OF TERRITORY IN JUST TWO WEEKS.

According to battlefield reports, Ukrainian units have conducted successful operations along both sectors, forcing Russian troops to retreat from several positions and restoring Ukrainian control over previously contested territory.

The reported territorial gains have not yet been independently verified.

🔥 The Sloviansk-Kramatorsk defensive area is strategically important for Ukraine’s remaining positions in Donetsk Oblast.

Successful Ukrainian counterattacks in these sectors could disrupt Russian preparations for further advances, improve local defensive positions and force Moscow to divert resources toward recovering lost ground.

Although 17.3 square kilometers represents a relatively limited area, sustained Ukrainian gains across multiple sectors could complicate Russia’s efforts to maintain offensive momentum in the region.

🇷🇺🚀🇺🇦‼️ RUSSIA IS REPORTEDLY PREPARING A LARGE-SCALE MISSILE ATTACK ON UKRAINE TONIGHT, WHILE RUSSIAN DRONES ARE ALREADY TARGETING CRITICAL ENERGY AND RAILWAY INFRASTRUCTURE.

According to the Ukrainian monitoring channel Nikolaevsky Vanyok, Russian forces are preparing a major missile strike against Ukraine overnight.

The channel reports that Russian Gerbera and Shahed-type drones are currently attacking electrical substations responsible for power and heating supplies, as well as railway traction substations that support Ukraine’s rail network.

The warning about an upcoming missile attack remains a forecast from the monitoring channel rather than confirmation that missiles have been launched.

🔥 A coordinated attack on electricity, heating and railway infrastructure could disrupt essential civilian services and transportation networks.

Railway traction substations are particularly important because damage to them can interfere with electric train operations, while attacks on energy facilities can affect electricity and heating supplies.

The reported activity raises concerns about another wave of Russian strikes against Ukraine’s critical infrastructure.

🇺🇦🎯🔥🇷🇺‼️ UKRAINIAN DRONES HAVE REPORTEDLY DAMAGED TWO MAJOR CRUDE OIL PROCESSING UNITS AT A RUSSIAN REFINERY IN KSTOVO, AS KYIV REJECTS CLAIMS THAT IT AGREED TO HALT STRIKES AT WASHINGTON’S REQUEST.

The latest attack reportedly targeted an oil refinery in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, damaging its AVT-5 and AVT-6 primary crude oil distillation units.

Ukrainian officials told The Kyiv Independent that the campaign against Russian oil refineries is continuing, denying reports that Kyiv had agreed to suspend strikes at the Trump administration’s request.

Earlier reports suggested that a pause would remain in place until the U.S. midterm elections and could potentially extend further into November.

However, according to the latest accounts, Washington has reacted with relative indifference to Ukraine’s continued attacks on Russian oil infrastructure.

A source close to the administration reportedly suggested that much of Washington’s public criticism of Ukrainian strikes was intended for domestic political audiences.

The source also claimed that the CIA continued providing Ukraine with intelligence on Russian air-defense deployments, supporting Kyiv’s long-range strike campaign.

🔥 Over the past three days, Ukrainian drones have reportedly struck three major Russian refineries in Kstovo, Novokuybyshevsk and Ufa, including the Bashneft-Novoil facility.

Together, the three facilities have a reported combined annual processing capacity of approximately 33 million tonnes of crude oil.

The attacks are claimed to have temporarily affected refining capacity equivalent to roughly 10% of Russia’s total, although the actual reduction in operational output and the duration of disruptions remain uncertain.

Damage to primary distillation units is particularly significant because these facilities perform the initial processing required for producing gasoline, diesel and other petroleum products.

The reported strikes demonstrate Ukraine’s continued focus on imposing economic and logistical costs on Russia’s war effort, while the accounts of Washington’s response suggest a possible difference between public political messaging and behind-the-scenes cooperation.

🇬🇧🇺🇦🇷🇺‼️ “YOU WILL NOT WIN THIS WAR. TAKE THAT MESSAGE BACK TO PUTIN.” A SENIOR BRITISH OFFICIAL DELIVERS A DIRECT WARNING TO RUSSIAN FOREIGN MINISTER SERGEY LAVROV AT THE G20.

According to the account, British official Ed Miliband confronted Lavrov during a G20 foreign ministers’ meeting, accusing Moscow of continuing its war against Ukraine without demonstrating a genuine willingness to seek peace.

“We all know who the aggressor is in this war. Russian drones attacked the railway station in Dnipro and killed 15 people. Throughout this war, there have been countless examples of innocent civilians being killed. We all know that you are the aggressor.”

Miliband argued that Vladimir Putin had fundamentally underestimated Ukrainian resistance and the international solidarity supporting Kyiv.

“Putin thought he would win this war easily. But you will not win this war. Thanks to the courage of the Ukrainian people and the solidarity of the nations represented around this table, you will not win.”

He urged Lavrov to deliver that message directly to Putin.

Following the meeting, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas accused Lavrov of making numerous false and misleading statements while showing no genuine willingness to engage in peace negotiations.

“Even when the Russians claim otherwise with their words, their actions tell a different story. Russia must demonstrate through its actions that it is ready for negotiations,” Kallas told Agence France-Presse.

Asked why she had refused to participate in a joint photograph with Lavrov, Kallas responded with another pointed statement.

“We must not normalize war crimes at this table.”

🔥 The confrontation highlights the continuing diplomatic divide between Russia and European governments over responsibility for the war and the conditions necessary for meaningful negotiations.

The British remarks emphasized Ukraine’s resistance and international support, while Kallas focused on the gap between Moscow’s diplomatic statements and its military actions.

Together, the statements reflect European concerns that negotiations without concrete changes in Russia’s conduct could leave the fundamental causes of the conflict unresolved.

🇷🇺⚰️🇺🇦‼️ RUSSIAN MILITARY CASUALTIES IN UKRAINE MAY HAVE REACHED A STAGGERING 2.1 MILLION KILLED AND WOUNDED, ACCORDING TO THE ECONOMIST.

The publication estimates that the number of Russian soldiers killed since the beginning of the full-scale invasion could exceed 770,000.

These figures are estimates rather than independently confirmed casualty totals, and the precise scale of Russian military losses remains uncertain.

🔥 The reported figures, if accurate, would illustrate the extraordinary human cost of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Losses on this scale would place immense pressure on Russia’s military recruitment system, training capacity and ability to replace experienced personnel.

They would also raise serious questions about the long-term sustainability of Moscow’s strategy of pursuing territorial gains through prolonged, manpower-intensive warfare.

Despite the enormous reported losses, the Kremlin continues its military campaign against Ukraine.

🇺🇦💪🔥🇷🇺‼️ UKRAINIAN FORCES ARE REPORTEDLY PUSHING RUSSIAN TROOPS BACK EAST OF LYMAN, ADVANCING THROUGH MULTIPLE VILLAGES AND RESTORING CONTROL OVER KEY POSITIONS ALONG THE ZHEREBETS RIVER IN DONETSK OBLAST.

Over the past two weeks, Ukrainian forces have reportedly continued counteroffensive operations east of Lyman, making progress around Yampil and Zarichne.

In northern Zarichne, Ukrainian troops reportedly broke through Russian defensive positions following repeated unsuccessful Russian assaults and advanced into the village center.

Additional Ukrainian assault groups advanced from the south, also reaching central Zarichne, while small infiltration teams reportedly crossed the Zherebets River and entered Torske.

Further south, Ukrainian forces reportedly expelled Russian troops from Ivanivka, establishing full control over that section of the river’s western bank.

Ukrainian assault groups subsequently intensified operations across the river, entering Terny, Novosadove and fields farther east.

These reported advances have not been independently verified.

⚔️ The broader front stretching from Lyman toward Kupiansk has reportedly seen some of Ukraine’s most significant defensive improvements during 2026.

A year ago, Russian forces were threatening Kupiansk while advancing toward Borova and Lyman, creating the danger of a major Ukrainian defensive setback.

Since then, Ukrainian forces have reportedly recovered positions near Borova and launched counterattacks around Lyman, reducing the Russian salient east of the city.

Ukrainian troops are now consolidating positions in the forests east of Lyman and preparing defensive lines along much of the western bank of the Zherebets River ahead of winter.

The situation around Kupiansk remains more complicated. Operations targeting underground infiltration routes north of the city have reportedly disrupted Russian movements, while eastern Kupiansk remains partially contested.

🔥 The reported Ukrainian advances around Lyman could significantly improve the city’s defensive position by pushing Russian forces farther from its eastern approaches.

Control of the Zherebets River’s western bank would provide Ukrainian troops with a clearer defensive line, while limited operations across the river could complicate Russian attempts to regroup.

The contrast with the situation a year earlier is notable. Instead of facing an uninterrupted Russian advance toward Lyman, Ukrainian forces are reportedly conducting counterattacks and consolidating recovered territory.

Nevertheless, the front remains contested, and the durability of these gains will depend on Ukraine’s ability to hold its positions against further Russian assaults.

🇺🇦🇷🇺⚔️‼️ UKRAINIAN FORCES HAVE REPORTEDLY RECAPTURED AND CLEARED 19.4 SQUARE KILOMETERS IN KHARKIV OBLAST, WHILE RUSSIAN TROOPS HAVE GAINED JUST 1.93 SQUARE KILOMETERS AMID INTENSE FIGHTING.

Over the past several weeks, both Ukrainian and Russian forces have conducted offensive operations around Bilyi Kolodiaz and Ternova, with territorial changes recorded on both sides.

🇷🇺 Russian advances in the western sector

Russian troops reportedly regained positions in northern Starytsia and re-entered the village center.

Small Russian assault groups also crossed the Vovcha River and, after repeated attempts, penetrated wooded tactical heights where fighting continues around Ukrainian defensive strongpoints.

Russian forces have additionally renewed attempts to advance southwest toward Izbytske.

🇺🇦 Ukrainian counterattacks in the eastern sector

Ukrainian troops reportedly launched a series of counterattacks, recapturing Vilcha and surrounding territory.

Small Ukrainian infiltration groups subsequently advanced into the southern outskirts of Vovchansk, with additional attempts to penetrate the southeastern part of the city.

Ukrainian forces also reportedly eliminated Russian groups that had previously infiltrated northwestern Bilyi Kolodiaz and recovered several positions along the nearby highway.

According to the battlefield assessment, Ukrainian forces have restored control over and cleared approximately 19.40 km², compared with 1.93 km² captured by Russian forces.

These territorial changes remain subject to independent verification.

🔥 The reported developments suggest that Ukrainian forces have achieved substantially greater territorial gains than Russian troops across this sector during the assessed period.

Recapturing Vilcha and positions around Bilyi Kolodiaz could improve Ukrainian defensive lines, while renewed infiltration into southern Vovchansk may complicate Russia’s efforts to consolidate control of the area.

However, Russian advances around Starytsia and the Vovcha River demonstrate that the fighting remains contested.

The overall situation reflects a fluid battlefield in which localized Ukrainian counterattacks are taking place alongside continued Russian attempts to penetrate defensive positions.

🇺🇦🇺🇸🇷🇺‼️ ZELENSKY CONFIRMS UKRAINE IS STRIKING RUSSIAN OIL REFINERIES AGAIN, REJECTS TRUMP-ERA PRESSURE OVER ENERGY PRICES AND REFUSES TO SURRENDER DONBAS.

President Volodymyr Zelensky openly acknowledged that Ukraine has resumed attacks against Russian diesel-refining facilities, arguing that these operations are not responsible for rising fuel prices in the United States or globally.

“Are we attacking Russian diesel refineries? Yes. But does this affect prices in the United States and around the world? No, of course not.”

Zelensky claimed that Russia currently accounts for just 2.2% of global exports in the relevant market, arguing that the ongoing war in the Middle East has a far greater impact on international energy prices.

🇺🇦 Turning to territorial negotiations, Zelensky firmly rejected Moscow’s demands for Ukrainian forces to withdraw from the remaining Ukrainian-controlled areas of Donbas.

“We will certainly not surrender our territories. Russia wants us to leave Donbas and is sending us messages about this, particularly through American intermediaries.”

“They are demanding that we voluntarily withdraw from territories they have been unable to capture militarily. This is not a reasonable idea. It is irrational.”

He also insisted that no foreign government has the right to negotiate Ukraine’s future without Kyiv’s participation.

“No one can ever decide Ukraine’s fate without Ukraine. That would be unfair and would achieve nothing.”

Zelensky noted that previous attempts by international leaders to determine Ukraine’s future without Ukrainian involvement had failed to produce meaningful results.

🇹🇷 Despite rejecting territorial concessions, Zelensky confirmed that he remains willing to meet Vladimir Putin directly in Turkey.

“I am ready to meet Putin in Turkey. I know President Erdoğan has his contacts with Putin. That is why we support a meeting in Turkey.”

He argued that direct negotiations between the two presidents could resolve issues that diplomatic delegations and technical working groups cannot settle independently.

🔥 Zelensky’s remarks underline Ukraine’s determination to maintain military pressure on Russia while resisting diplomatic demands for unilateral territorial concessions.

His comments also challenge the argument that Ukrainian refinery strikes are a major driver of global energy prices, although the actual market impact depends on broader supply conditions.

By offering direct talks with Putin while rejecting withdrawal from Donbas, Zelensky is distinguishing between willingness to negotiate and willingness to accept Moscow’s territorial demands.

The central issue remains whether future negotiations can produce an agreement that respects Ukraine’s sovereignty rather than requiring Kyiv to surrender territory Russia has failed to capture.

🇺🇸🇷🇺‼️ HOLLYWOOD STAR MICHAEL DOUGLAS QUESTIONS TRUMP’S RELATIONSHIP WITH PUTIN, ACCUSING THE U.S. PRESIDENT OF REPEATEDLY EXTENDING A HELPING HAND TO THE RUSSIAN LEADER.

Speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience, actor Michael Douglas sharply criticized Donald Trump’s approach to Vladimir Putin.

“I don’t know what Putin has on Trump, or what the connection is between them, or why Trump feels he always has to extend a helping hand to Putin.”

Douglas also argued that opposition to Putin is one of the few issues that unites Americans across political divisions.

“93 percent of Americans, Democrats and Republicans alike, dislike Putin. It’s one of those rare issues that brings all of us together.”

🔥 Douglas’s remarks reflect frustration with Trump’s approach to Moscow, particularly as Russia continues its war against Ukraine.

His criticism highlights the political tension between efforts to engage Putin diplomatically and demands for a tougher American response to Russian aggression.

The 93% figure was cited by Douglas and has not been independently established here.
