Fantastic result for our captain, Marc Wilson, who took 1st in the 1x against stiff opposition from Danish national rower Johan Berg & many others.

The two rowers fought for 1st place for the full 21 miles #CoastalRowing🥇💚

Great opportunity for a learn to row at a very reasonable cost for 5 sessions.

We’ve potentially got two, maybe three places available on our Learn to Row course which starts this Sunday. Two sessions at the club, a session in a rowing tank and a further two sessions at the club. Course fee is £75 which includes British Rowing membership and a t-shirt. #L2R

It’s very exciting for us to see a national event taking place in the North East. We are missing a day of Gig races but want to help make it a success. Inaugural event for our new club with our ‘have a go’ coastal rowing event.

Starting from nothing we must thank @WS_Foundation_ for the grant to buy safety equipment, #CoatesMarine & #WhitbyYard for sponsorship & @SwiftRacingUK for bringing loads of boats up

The sea got a bit choppy while we were out so we haven’t made it to #Sandsend beach for a coffee yet! Quite challenging for us as sculling novices, but we ended up being out almost 2hrs after rowing back up river to #Ruswarp @SwiftRacingUK #CoastalRowing #OffShoreRowing #Whitby
