@flyinglawyer73@sajidjavid I don’t believe that a politician should have this power. I have no doubt that Javid’s decision was based on populism rather than an impartial assessment of the facts. Politicians will always have one eye on the ballot box.
@flyinglawyer73@sajidjavid Totally agree. She is our problem. The court has simply said that the Home Secretary has this power and in the judgement it implied that on the merits of her case the decision would be different
@sajidjavid It did not uphold your decision but said that legally your decision must stand. The court did believe she had been trafficked for sexual reasons., but could not legally reverse your decision. A decision on the merits of her case would have been different.
I'm sorry, @tesco this is not good enough in your Dalmarnock store on a Friday afternoon 😔 Lots more shelves with empty boxes throughout the store. Rising prices are bad enough but lack of basic foodstuffs is unacceptable.
He is where he is because his economic migrant parents were allowed to come here. He and his party are determined to end that opportunity for others as well as those escaping war.
Dear @pritipatel, I'm asking you to remove Clause 23 from the National Security Bill ahead of its Second Reading. This Clause risks allowing UK Ministers and Whitehall officials to get away with murder. https://t.co/zCSfKPOWIY
Hey @yvettecoopermp 🙋 Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak have been fined for partying while people died of Covid.
They must recall Parliament and face a vote of no confidence. #HeyMP@BestForBritain https://t.co/FOj8JaOB1x
Boris Johnson claims that Brexit is going to help "free" and "level-up" Britain. But all it is doing is allowing the Government to distract from its own failings, impose autocratic legislation and increase unfairness in our country. https://t.co/onPDuW2QKA
Hey @yvettecoopermp 🙋 Thank you for supporting the right to protest in Parliament Square. People must have the freedom to hold power to account. #HeyMP@BestForBritain https://t.co/XmU0Qbt3Nh
@POTUS, you promised to close Guantánamo Bay by the end of your presidency, but men cleared for release in October are still not free.
Return them to their families now. #BidenSetThemFree#CloseGuantanamo
Hey @yvettecoopermp 🙋 The Elections Bill is a dangerous power grab by Ministers to decide who can and can’t campaign at elections and remove the Electoral Commission's political independence. Britain shouldn’t go down this road. #HeyMP@BestForBritain https://t.co/563jUDymFz
Hey @yvettecoopermp 🙋 The government is criminalising dissent. We must stop the anti-democratic Elections Bill and the anti-protest Policing Bill.
Please work with all parties to oppose these Bills. #HeyMP@BestForBritain https://t.co/GZZkVOcBAX
I'm one of 3.5 million people who have signed the https://t.co/DbRypNufd1 petition. @BorisJohnson & @DominicRaab: what will you do to urgently bring Nazanin home? #FreeNazanin
Hey @yvettecoopermp 🙋 Women at the peaceful vigil for #SarahEverard did not need heavy-handed policing.
Stand up for people power.
Vote against the #PolicingBill that would criminalise peaceful protest in the UK. #HeyMP@BestForBritain https://t.co/3ncni1bvq2
Hey @yvettecoopermp 🙋 Abstain on this deal, so we can get a better one in the future.
Don't support watered down protections, and lowered standards.
Don't back a bad deal in my name. #HeyMP@BestForBritain https://t.co/WAVjhaqayn
